In downtown Sand Springs you'll find 9-hour parking near the trail crossing at Main Street and US-64/412 or at River City Park. In Tulsa, park behind the Tulsa County Jail off Denver Ave. by I-244.
The trail is not bad, decently maintained. However, this is a rough part of Tulsa. There was homeless camps in the woods next to the trail, there was a homeless guy passed out on the trail, I was threaten by a gang member. If you’re gonna do this trail, don’t do it alone. Also a lot of construction as of august 2022. It also leads right to David L. Moss which is a very dangerous area and a lot of homeless.
Nice trail, well maintained, not very busy, mostly flat with some slight grades, long stretches are shaded and then some are full sun. There is a fairly sizable homeless/addicts/drunk population that live in the bushes and by the trains. No one bothered me as I ran but I definitely would bring my mace next time I run this, and never in the evening or too early in the morning.
Trail conditiin good- straightandflat. Easy ride but not very scenic and the traffic noise from the adjacent highway made it less enjoyable
I use it everyday to get to and from work. It is very useful and convenient. It helps so that I can skip all the traffic and be on time to work. Love it!!!
We rode east from Sand Springs to Newblock Park area. Trail was well maintained. It crosses several streets, some busy enough that we walked our bikes across. Encountered several apparently homeless and obviously altered (drunk?) folks. I would not ride in this area alone.
I am a petite, beginning rider.
I ran the east end of the trail. long stretches with shade, long stretches with sun. gentle grade changes. saw one water fountain. good training run. some folks up under bridges
