Upper Las Vegas Wash Trail Description

The Upper Las Vegas Wash Trail is a paved pathway that parallels its namesake irrigation channel through North Las Vegas. Running north to south, the trail provides direct access for residents of the northern portion of the city to the much longer Lower Las Vegas Wash Trail at Alexander Road.

Two trailheads at Hammer Lane and Lawrence Street (just south of Centennial Parkway) offer picnic tables in the shade for a welcome respite from the often brutal Nevada sun, as does a neighborhood park on Teal Petals Street. The larger Centennial Lawrence Trailhead also features some green space and shaded play areas for the kids.

Parking and Trail Access

A parking lot, restrooms and drinking fountains are available at the Centennial Lawrence Trailhead (6350 Lawrence Street), while on-street parking can be found at the Hammer Lane Trailhead (2200 Hammer Lane).

Upper Las Vegas Wash Trail Reviews

Nice Trail

Took the trial today and it was nice and clean. Had to cross a few streets that were not too busy, perfect for a casual bike ride

aint finished

The trail runs around 1MM while it states 4+ Classic Vegas, starts but then you hit fences and incomplete shopping car parks. South route looks better

Great ride on a Sunday afternoon!

I hit the trail on my heavily modified mountain bike (cruiser) at the furthest Northern Point at Deere Springs way; parking in the Kohl's parking lot. From here I road the entire length joining up with the the Lower LV Wash Trail near Alexander. I continued riding all the way to Las Vegas Boulevard turning around just past Broad Acres Flea Market.
The trail is in good condition with some gravel and weeds needing attention. Be prepared, while the trail does have a few bridges it does have a few road crossings as well. The crossing at Craig has lots of traffic. This truly is a wonderful trail and the citizens of North Las Vegas should be grateful that it was built. I only passed a handful of other folks out enjoying the cool clear December weather.
Don't hesitate, go ride this trail as soon as you can! Maybe make a trip out of it and stop at Broad Acres to look for some treasures.
Hope to see you out there!
