From Nashville, take 431 north (Whites creek Pike/Tom Austin Highway). Make a left onto 41 (Memorial Boulevard). Make a left (turn west) onto 5th Avenue. Turn right (north) on N. Garner Street and continue until you reach Garner Street Park (200 N. Garner Street). A parking lot is available in the park and the trailhead is next to the lot.
At the eastern end of the trail, a parking lot is available at J. Travis Price Park (4155 Wilkes Road).
We’ll maintained with pretty views. An easy ride for the entire family.
My husband and I chose this greenway ( Springfield) to try yesterday in celebration of our wedding anniversary ¿¿¿¿. We are new to Trail Link and this is our second trail. It was perfect ! Weather gorgeous doesn’t hurt .¿Some adorable dogs with their people walking and a couple of other cyclists but not crowded at all. Will go back!
It was a bit of a drive from Nashville but well worth it! The wife and I try to do a different Greenway every weekend and this one was well worth the drive. Tons of country views as well as bits of history along the way. To our surprise there was a farmers market going on half way back to our car. Great people and great “Love adventure” as we like to call them! 100% going back to this one!
I am an avid trail bicycle rider and this is my favorite for middle Tennessee. Not too long but very well laid out and maintained. This coupled with the really nice park that joins it makes a wonderful public space with something for everyone.
This trail can be use by most anyone. It provides a wide variety of scenery and activities including creek (no swimming), playground, corn (when in season), pond, ducks, and much more. The trail is wide allowing easy passage. It is kept clean. There are several stopping points to meet your needs and several different parking accesses as well as trash cans. There is also a dog park at the Garner Street Park access which allows your dog to run free in a large fenced area. Please always, in the dog park and on the trail, clean up after yourself and your dog. Thank you.
Extremely unique and beautiful trail. Love visiting the ducks/geese. However few kids ruined the enjoyment by kicking one. But the trail loops around the town, and it is actually longer if you visit the soccer field and distillery. Kid and pet friendly ;)
Kid-friendly, beautiful views especially in the summer and fall, dog-friendly. Distance between Garner and Travis Price parks is approximately 2 miles in between.
I have been going there for the past 2 and half years with my dog and as far as I know there have never been problems with dogs before. However I was told today that in a couple of weeks that "big dogs" would be required to be muzzled while walking on the greenway. There is NO other park or trail in Tennessee that I know of that requires this and there is NO way I am muzzling my dog on a hot day! We will not be going to that greenway any longer.
Beautiful trail. It's actually four miles, and you can extend it to five if you explore the soccer fields, playground, and hills at Travis Price Park. We walk our pups there daily.
What a variation of beauty. Creek side, through farm land, into a public park. Great walk.
I can't believe I've lived down the road from this for years and had never checked it out. This is one of the prettiest greenways I've been on. The countryside is so pretty and can't wait to for fall to get here so I can get more pics. Just beautiful.
I ride my bike on this trail sometimes several times a week. There are two very clean restrooms along the trail at the parks. Trail is very well maintained.
