A small parking lot is available at the western trailhead off Beach Road, about 1 mile east of State Park Road 2.
This is the trail to take in Gulf State Park to see a gator or two! This is the typically flat, smooth, tree lined path in the park full of friendly folks, but one of the especially fun parts is getting to it via a long, wooden bridge on the Cross Park Trail. The bridge crosses over a waterway connecting Little Lake to Middle Lake and provides opportunities for wildlife viewing.
Fantastic place to see some eagles and alligators! Clean smooth trail very nice patrons.
Gulf State Park is wonderful trail riding. Rosemary Dunes has parking lot and bike rental at one end.
The trail is great for dog walking and has a lot of wildlife
Great experience walking with my family and seeing animals like the bald eagle.
nice easy trail, lots of benches and you might see some alligators
My grandson and I biked the Rosemary Dunes trail on evening of February 20, 2016. We spotted two(2) alligators and two(2) armadillas. We also seen several bird species and squirels. This was an interesting and fun trail. Highly recommend it.
Very flat, easy trail. I'm a wheelchair user and I've done this trail a few times in my chair without any problems. There are benches scattered along the trail for walkers as well as a couple of coered picnic tables near the western end of the trail. One note.... the trail is actually 2.1 miles from end to end, not 1.6.
