Print Friendly MapLinear Park follows the route of the former Florida Southern Railroad (dating back to 1886) through a historical neighborhood of Punta Gorda on Florida’s west coast. Although only a mile long, the trail connects to two others, the Harborwalk and MURT, in the city’s extensive trail network. Along its western end, you can also access the Visual Arts Center and the restaurants and shops of Fisherman’s Village.
Parking is available on the west end of the trail in Fisherman’s Village (1200 West Retta Esplanade).
We rode this paved trail today on our recumbent bikes. Short but well maintained and includes a bike tool station and several areas to stop and exercise. Many areas with benches and shade. We made this trail part of our Harborwalk ride.
It is a short walk, but continues into the Harborwalk. The grounds are lush and the birds and fish are beautiful. It is so peaceful.
