Beginning in downtown Raleigh at East Hargett Street and across from the City Cemetery, the Little Rock Trail heads south through John Winters Park and then through Chavis Park as it runs along Little Rock Creek and parallel to Chavis Way. Chavis Park features rock outcroppings, swimming pool, baseball diamond, shelters and a carousel built in 1937 (nominal fee to ride).
South of the park, the trail passes through a greenway amid subdivisions and businesses, connecting with the Walnut Creek Trail (and Walnut Creek Wetland Center) at its terminus on Peterson Road.
Parking is available in lots at 501 Martin Luther King Blvd, at 512 E Davie St, and at 720 Chavis Way.
I seriously like this trail
