The Harvard Trail is a short sidepath along Harvard Avenue in Irvine. Beautifully landscaped, lit and featuring smooth concrete, the trail is a much more pleasant experience than your average roadside trail.
In the north, connect to the Walnut Trail to head east along an active rail line, or cross the tracks, Como Channel and Harvard Avenue to pick up the Peters Canyon Trail. (Access to the Peters Canyon Trail is also available farther south at Warner Avenue.) From the trail's southern endpoint, continue on the San Diego Creek Trail for a scenic trek south or east. In addition to extending your adventure, it is possible to use these trails to form a loop.
Parking for the Harvard Trail is available at Bill Barber Community Park on Harvard Avenue in Irvine. Cross Barranca Parkway from the parking lot to reach the trail's southern endpoint.
