Gresham Fairview Trail Description

The Gresham Fairview Trail is a north–south corridor that will one day link Portland's 40-Mile Loop Trail (Marine Drive section) with the Springwater Trail's section through Gresham. As of spring 2012, the trail runs for a little more than 3 miles between the Springwater Trail and NE Halsey Street in Gresham. Plans are underway to finish the remaining 2 miles north to Marine Drive in Portland.

The Gresham Fairview Trail will also provide access to nature areas along Johnson Creek, Fairview Creek, Columbia Slough and the Columbia River.

Parking and Trail Access

Access the trail at both the north and south end points. There is no official parking but on-street parking is available in Gresham.

Gresham Fairview Trail Reviews

Smooth

Nice short ride to get out and about. Well paved with good cross walks on major streets. Definitely not crowded!

Good, paved, city trail.

The road less travelled

This is a nice not-too-long spur off of the Springwater Corridor Trail. The day we rode it (and I suspect always) it was not nearly as crowded as the SCT. It's also flat, except for 2 or 3 small hills (one being the Powell Blvd. overpass.) A couple of cautions: The trail crosses 3 or 4 busy streets (the crossings have crosswalks with buttons for flashing yellow lights - so proceed with caution) and there is a small section that diverts along two busy streets. There are sidewalks on both streets and one also has bike lanes.
