The Equestrian South Trail forms a crisscrossing loop around Equestrian Park South in Henderson. The park is so named because it offers a large area for horses and parking for horse trailers, but—despite its name—the trail itself does not permit equestrian use. To pursue their hobby, horseback riders should instead use the connecting Equestrian North Trail, which is unpaved.
At the Equestrian South Trail's eastern end, the path seamlessly merges into the River Mountains Loop Trail, a 35-mile route linking Henderson with the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Hoover Dam and Boulder City.
Parking and restrooms for the Equestrian South Trail are available in Equestrian Park South (1298 Equestrian Drive).
