Elmer's Two Mile Creek Greenway Description

Elmer's Two Mile Creek Greenway begins just north of Elmer's Two Mile Park on the north end of Boulder. It's paved and generally flat, traveling through open spaces, parks, neighborhoods and commercial areas.

The park offers a playground and wide grassy areas perfect for a picnic or game of frisbee. From there, the trail continues south and, after an underpass at Valmont Road, reaches the Goose Creek Greenway, an east-west route across the city.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available along 28th Street between Valmont Road and Iris Avenue.

Elmer's Two Mile Creek Greenway Reviews

Good connector

This is a good little north/south connector trail. It is one of the relatively newer Boulder paths so is nice and wide and in good shape. As with other Boulder paths, there are some blind spots and other path users to be aware of. There is one road crossing at Glenwood Drive that is not particularly well marked and can be a little sketchy at certain times due to car traffic.

Part of a great ride

Elmers is a short little greenway running through neighborhoods in north Boulder. But by combining it with other trails, you can make a day trip ride. Starting at Carpenter Park, head east on Boulder Creek trail to the end at Arapahoe, then out and back on Wonderland and Cottonwood trails, then out and back on Goose Creek trail and Elmers Two-Mile, then out and back on Skunk Creek and Bear Creek trails, then back to Carpenter park to make a 22-mile East Boulder Loop.
