Print Friendly MapThe Cook Creek Trail is a short, paved trail located in the suburban community of Lone Tree. The trail originates in Cook Creek Park, home to a local pool, tennis courts, and a portion of the Willow Creek Greenbelt Trail, which users can take to head north into Arapahoe County. The trail heads southwest along the edge of a golf course before it turns to cut due south through a series of quiet residential neighborhoods.
The trail crosses the busy Lincoln Avenue, then continues west along the side of the road for a block, before heading south again through another group of neighborhoods. While certainly not a destination trail, the Cook Creek Trail is a nifty resource to help connect residents to their local park and the area's thriving trail system.
Parking is available within Cook Creek Park, off of Lone Tree Parkway. Additional on-street parking may be available; be sure to follow any posted signs or warnings.
To reach the northern end of the trail from the direction of Denver, take I-25 south towards Centennial. Take exit 193 and turn right to head west onto Lincoln Avenue. Turn right onto S Yosemite Street, then turn left in about a half-mile onto Lone Tree Parkway. The parking lot will be on the right just past the turn.
