Parking is on State Route 28 in Ossipee and at White Lake State Park in West Ossipi. You can also park in Conway.
Not for bikes. Such a shame .it would be a great asset to the community.
found the trail near our seasonal site at Westward Shores on Ossipee Lake. The "trail" still had railroad rails and some ties and was completely overgrown. Not for biking but maybe for x country skiing or snow snowmobiling in the winter...
We found easily the trail near Moose Brook campground. Although the Trail is Sandy and not always perfect to ride we enjoyed the sceneries and the quietness.

my family has had a house since 1976 about 20 yards from the train tracks! it gos past the beautiful silver lake and also mt whittier!!! you can also ride all the way to north conway!!!! check it out!!
There is rail right of way between Conway and Wakefield, NH. It is used by snowmobiles in the winter and is great for cross country skiing, snow shoeing, walking and geocaching. However, in most sections the rails and ties are still in place and it is not good for cycling. The tracks are seasonally live on the weekends from the Silver Lake Post office to Boulder Road. Parking is available at the north end at the Mobile Station just south of Conway on Rte 16; at the Silver Lake Post office parking lot; behind the MacDonalds in West Ossipee; in "downtown" Center Ossipee, and several places further south.
This trail is not for biking at all, unless you like washboard biking. It is being used by Geocachers for placing hides all along the way.It has rails and ballast in place for most of the trail. There are access points, you have to look at a map to find them. Happy Trails
This trail does not exist! We spent hours on both end trying to find this trail. On the Conway end, we drove to the map location and ran into the person who owns 7 miles of where the supposed trail is. He confirm that it does not exist as he owns the land and is a biker!
Don't waste your time........
I really wish it was there as I think I would have liked it! In the end, we went into Conway and parked at the covered bridge on WestSide Rd. We road north, to Passconway rd and took a left. This will take you to another covered bridge and the Kancamagus Highway. You can do a loop back into Conway for about 18 miles in total.
We choose not to do the loop, instead we went back the way we came as it was treed covered and along the Swift River..... Nice 15 miles out and back.....
