Print Friendly MapBaumann Park is adjacent to the Kishwaukee River in Cherry Valley, a community on the outskirts of Rockford in northern Illinois. A paved pathway runs through the park and loops around Baumann Park Lake. The park offers a playground, baseball fields, tennis and basketball courts, and picnic areas. Fishing is allowed in the lake.
A short distance away (via roads) you can connect to another Cherry Valley trail, the Swanson Park Recreation Path, near the US 20 Bypass.
Parking is available in Baumann Park (300 S. Walnut Street).
Great path but very short and lots of fun
Beautiful park. Very well maintained path. Nothing too challenging as everything is pretty much flat. I did have to contend with several walkers and several dogs. And let's just say that not everyone follows the rules regarding dog droppings. :(
Definitely plan on returning.
