Canton Leisure Services is hosting an event in coordination with the American Hiking Society to celebrate National Trails Day on June 2, 2018. We will meet at the trail head off Michigan Ave at Morton Taylor Rd and do a self-guided hike along the beautiful Lower Rouge Trail, East to Lilley Rd and West to Sheldon Rd. There will be activities for the kids, a naturalist giving informative presentations, stations to learn about 'Leave No Trace' principles and recycling information, a scavenger hunt, make-your-own trail mix and, of course the amazing natural beauty of the Rouge River along the trail. Bring your family, friends and pets and join us for this no-cost event to discover the hidden gem that is, the Lower Rouge Trail.
