Water Flume Line Trail

It's a nice trail. I've walked it a few times. Areas to sit. Safe crosswalks. It's got a few greenbelt areas that are interesting to explore. Pretty safe. Great for a bike ride too, I have biked it. Had to review it. It's worthy of a hike.

Centennial Trail (WA)

Always love coming back to this trail

November, 2024 by hrgroen

One of the things that stands out to me is how well people take care of this trail. After a storm, I often find that the trail is cleared, branches (big and small) are removed, and other obstacles are taken care of. I often see signs of saws or chainsaws to deal with larger trees or branches that have blocked the road. Good job, volunteers and clean-up crews!

Bill Chipman Palouse Trail

Not For Commuters.

October, 2024 by bikesordeath

Attempted to ride from the trail end in Pullman, WA to Moscow, ID. The experience was super disappointing. Cracks in the asphalt (bitumen) surface are so numerous and so big and so poorly patched that it's completely unusable as a transportation corridor. By numerous, I mean cracks every 3 to 20 meters for the length of the part I rode. And anywhere from 5 cm to 15 cm wide across for the width of the trail. And deep.

The trail isn't practical for bicycle commuting because the cracks make traveling at an efficient speed difficult. I spent so much time focusing on the cracks and standing in the pedals to dampen the shocks that I could never focus on anything else or gain any speed. And they would be absolutely damaging to the wheels of a bike loaded with groceries. I suppose an ebike with large low pressure tires wouldn't be affected too badly, but that's an exception to what most cyclists use.

I gave up and turned around after less than 4 km. Two star because it's still a nice walking/jogging trail.

Cascade Trail

too bad I didn’t make it to Sedro Woolley

October, 2024 by cgram43

I road from Rasar State park towards Sedro Woolley. One obstacle was a bridge that I had to walk across because the approach to this small trestle was a big step on both sides. It almost looks like the bridge has moved. I got to Lyman and thought I would get into SW by lunch time. A few miles east of town, I ran into some mud and water. I walked and the encounter running water and it got up to my ankles. It looked worse ahead so I doubled back to Lyman for lunch at the tavern that near the trail. Nice place too back the trail was got bad so I didn’t finish it. Hope they resolve this bad section because it is a nice trail and there isn’t any option except for Hwy 20.

Burnt Bridge Creek Trail

what a great ride

October, 2024 by vqwq5tkbmr

A perfect autumn day on a wonderful trail. Beautiful paved, 15 mile round-trip trail. It had a small homeless camp in a small cluster, but nothing scary. Felt completely safe, and the rest of the trail was spotlessly clean and well maintained by the City of Vancouver. Old growth forest, ferns and so much more!! Don’t miss this ride - it was wonderful.!!

Chehalis Western Trail

E bikes?

October, 2024 by mlv.lb

I was on the Yelm - Tenino trail today when about a dozen riders on E-Bikes and E-scooters came down the Chehalis Western trail to where it meets the Yelm trail. Is there some exception for E-bikes? I thought they would be considered "motorized" vehicles. What were they doing on the trail? So outside of the irritation I felt about that, the trail itself was great! I'm just getting back to riding after knee replacement so a relatively level trail out in the country that I could do some easy distance on was perfect!

Discovery Trail (WA)

The views, the path, the length - hands down our favourite between cannon beach and long beach. It is a must do again!

Foothills Trail (WA)

Bridge closure E of S. Prairie

September, 2024 by ron242

My trailhead is always the lot at 423 Washington Av SE, Orting; heading east to Buckley from there avoids the majority of urban and traffic.

But the Spiketon Ditch Bridge 9 miles on (1.6 mi past S. Prairie) is currently closed, as "structurally compromised." Trail is blocked. It's a turnaround.

I do truly love the 9 miles that are open, sections along the Carbon River, others lined with woods, through farmlands, in and out of the small town of South Prairie, views of Mt. Ranier, ...

East Lake Sammamish Trail

Scenic and quality trail

September, 2024 by jwubbie

Scenic and the natural restoration is very well done, especially the interpretive signs and benches. Signage along the parkway to trailheads was lacking as were trail/milage markers along the way as was drinking water. If you go solo, take the time to investigate and plan a route.

North Creek Trail

not for wheels

September, 2024 by aliciashankland_tl

Much of the asphalt is severely buckled in the miles heading toward Bothell. So many that you cannot avoid or bike around big sections of long and high ridges and cracks. The bumps cover far more area than smooth pavement. There is also a stretch of very large rock gravel on a narrow, elevated path near where the path intersects with 405.

Cushman Trail

So So

If I was a local I’m sure it’s great. As a tourist doing bicycle trails it was ok
