Lyman Rail Trail

Really nice trail

October, 2024 by zgqk8kh26n

This was my first trail I went on after breaking my foot and 12 weeks post surgery I was ready to get out and this was the perfect trail. Short and sweet and easy to complete ¿¿¿

Shame to include a corporation in the name

Nice place to walk. Gross to include a medical corporation in the name though. Gives it such a negative energy.

Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail

Great Trail, Misleading Length.

August, 2024 by jakedavies

I love this trail. It's not perfect, but I love the mix of rural, city, and the various spurs. In total, the trail may be 29 miles with the spurs, but from A to B on the main line, it's less than 16 miles from Greenville Tech to trail end in Travelers Rest. A fantastic length, just misleading to say it's more. The southern section connecting to Conestee Park is a different trail entirely (was a gravel road last I attempted it and didn't seem like a safe area), and shouldn't be included in the total. If the trails were to be connected somehow, not divided by miles of riding ON busy roads or dangerous out-of-shape sidewalks along an even busier road, perhaps then the 28-mile claim would be legitimate.

North End Parking

August, 2024 by z95s54hd8d

The very northern end of the trail starts just off Tate Road in Travelers Rest. You can’t park there. Park at the Ingles grocery store on Geer Road about a quarter mile away. We thoroughly enjoyed the trail. Swamp Rabbit Cafe is ten miles from the northern starting point.

Short little connector to Main Street

Doodle Rail Trail

Hilly, not crowded

March, 2024 by woodencanoe1

This was my third ride on the Doodle trail. It is hillier than the Greenville Swamp Rabbit trail, and much less crowded. Good bathrooms at each end, and a nice store at the Pickens end that serves sandwiches and craft beers in cans and bottles.

Lyman Rail Trail

A pleasant walk

March, 2024 by shcase1964

This Lyman rail trail is a pleasant walk by the remains of an old mill and through an old mill neighborhood. I was happy to see today that the trail had been extended. Thank you!

This trail offers endless wonderful opportunities…

December, 2023 by trishabunnie

One of Greenville’s best points of interest, I ride it often and every time I make new friends. Absolutely beautiful trail and it has so much to offer!! Hopefully the rail bed from Campobello SC through historical Landrum SC and TRYON NC to Saluda NC will come to fruition soon. That would be amazing!! ¿¿

Savannah Valley Railroad Trail

SVRT

Wanted to provide a more recent review. Rode most of the trail yesterday with my wife. It is well marked, well maintained and beautiful ride. The path is hard pack - not concrete or black top so it is not super smooth. There are several things to see and placards to read that explain the features of the old railroad. Also a cemetery from the 1700s and a fun tressel towards the end. The only negatives were that my wife thought there were too many roots. There are roots and I rode a mountain bike so I didn’t really notice them as ‘bad”. Also there is about a 2.5 mile section you have to ride on the road in the middle. It is a country road and traffic was lite and the cars were respectful of us and rode slowly around us. There were benches and picnic tables along the route if you wanted to stop and just sit for a while. We only saw 2 other people walking their dogs. It was a fun trail for novice riders not looking for single track. Enjoy -

Wadsworth Trail

Nice place to walk

September, 2023 by shcase1964

As others have mentioned, this is not a typical woodland trail. However, it is a very nice walking path with good shade and pleasant scenery. I appreciate the variety of this path and enjoy it more than straight trails such as Mary Black.
