This is a great trail for working off your winter fluff - it is challenging in areas with hills which for those of us who spent the winter either shoveling snow or hibernating (me) came as a surprise! The trail itself is paved with asphalt or concrete slabs. The asphalt areas have tree roots humps and bumps accompanied with a couple heaves. The poured concrete slabs were in decent shape. The trail goes alongside Melton Lake - pretty early spring views from the bluff. Many people were out enjoying the warm temps and the crew teams were out on the water. I
We’ve hiked this trail many times. It’s NOT a bike trail and we’ve never seen anyone try. We like this trail in all seasons. It’s well marked and in the wetter season the waterfall is beautiful. The loop trail has a great spot to view the rolling hills. Excellent parking and primitive camping if it interests you. Rated easy but a short section is close to moderate.
Starts down town travels 3+ miles mostly next to active track. Ok ride not too hard to follow. Will be nice when lengthened. Good parking lots at both ends. Trail has great potential
How long is the distance from the parking across the bridge to the stop sign?
The Eureka Trail in Englewood TN is easy and scenic. It runs 5.6 miles and has bathroom facilities at one end. It is really fun and I highly recommend checking it out!
Amazing trail for biking or running. Beautiful 11 miles round trip. Be aware of dogs off leach but it is to expect in the middle of the country. The dogs we encounter were not aggressive so no big deal.
This great family rails to trails is now 5.6 miles. There is a trailhead in Englewood and a trailhead in Athens. There are now bathrooms at the Athens Trailhead. There is ample parking at the Athens Trailhead.

The trail is well maintained, very wide, shady, and offers a beautiful ride. We rode bicycles and the gravel was compact making for a nice trip. Lovely scenery with quiet surroundings with sounds of birds & water ¿. The Athens Trailhead has an extremely nice parking area with restrooms. Bicycle maintenance station is available too. ¿. We were disappointed with the horse droppings on the trail. It only seems fair that horse owners clean up after themselves given dog owners do the same.
This is my go to bike path. I start at Haw Ridge and ride to Elza Gate - 6miles one way. Great round trip ride! Very pretty scenery and some challenging hills.
Nice paved trail. More than enough hills for this Floridian!
