There are crossings of 3 other major thoroughfares (Spring Creek, Parker, Park). You cross at grade, and there are chicanes to slow you down, and the traffic is high speed, so be cautious. You can stop in the median, which is good. Hopefully these will have on demand signals at some point.

4. The South end of the trail ends in a neighborhood.
(IT STILL DEAD ENDS JUST PAST PARK BUT I SEE NEW CONCRETE ON THE PLANO/15TH STREET SECTION 05/25/20).

Beware of the "Air Pod" folks who can't hear you.
Beware of the packs of high school kids who block the entire trail...
and have no clue what to do when you yell "On your left" when they are all across the trail.

Unless I missed it the trail map doesn’t call out all of the intersections where you must stop and at some points weight a while for traffic to slow. It’s difficult to get up to speed for a substantial amount of time but it’s still a solid ride. Found a couple water fountains on the way but there are few - so stop if you need it. Rode a bike on the trail. * also not a ding against the trail but I missed the turnoff and accidentally went do a wrong stretch and had to double back. Not a big deal but pay attention.
A perfect urban trail consisting of a wide concrete trail, manicured with trees, benches and cute, snappy signs indicating crossing points, caution areas, etc. Obviously a well-loved trail where runners wave a "hello" and dog walkers keep the Doggy Poop station filled with bags. The trail follows the power transmission towers, which is typical in Dallas, but has done a great job of landscaping. The trail also passes by several schools and parks.
Great distance for running, and a nice way to get away from the traffic in Plano. However, there are no water fountains along this route so bring your own bottle or be prepared to stop at nearby fast food places for water.
Nice ride, inclines and declines but you're riding under powerlines for the entire duration of your ride. Not just electrical connections... serious power lines.
This trail is very convenient, running North and South between Coit and Preston Roads. It is smooth concrete, in good condition, and wide. Traffic is light to moderate. It starts at Ridgeview Road in far north Plano, and goes almost to Plano Parkway in south Plano. As such, it takes you many places directly, and connects to other streets that are very good cycling streets. Consult the map and check it out!
The only downsides are:
1. There is not a crossing of Legacy Drive. You are supposed to ride a narrow sidewalk to a traffic signal a block or so away, cross, ride another narrow sidewalk back to the trail and continue. This is not good, but we are told a fix is in the works.

This is a very good trail in good shape regardless of the above. I wish all trails were this good.
